The city of Voronezh is named for the magnificent river on which it lies. For many years the city has been an important railway junction as well as the center of the Don Highway. Voronezh itself is divided into six administrative districts: Kominternovsky, Leninksy, Levoberezhny, Sovetsky, Tsentralny, and Zheleznodorozhny. Voronezh is also home to many beautiful single Russian women, all of whom represent the complex and passionate nature of Russia as a whole.

Voronezh was originally founded in 1585 as a fort to protect the Russian state from the Tatars. Later on in the 16th Century, the city would become one of the largest in Russia because of the Voronezh Admiralty Wharf. Today Veronezh is the economic, industrial, cultural center of the Black Earth Region of Russia. Most of the city's population consists of foreign immigrants and foreign students, who typically come to the city to learn the Russian language before moving on to their careers. The city has also been home to a number of famous Russians. Famous Russian poets Platonov, Bunin, Kolstov, Nikitin, Marshak, and Troepolskii were all born in this wonderful city.

Modern-day Voronezh is a place to behold. There are over 7 theaters, 12 cinemas, and numerous cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Tourists can also see the amazing statue of Peter the Great, which was built in 1860 and is surrounded by a beautiful garden of flowers. These are just a few of the wonders waiting for visitors who wish to visit this important Russian city.
