For over three hundred years Odessa has remained one of the most beautiful cities in all of the Ukraine. Its closeness to The Black Sea and similarity to many Mediterranean cities makes it an ideal spot for tourists to visit. Odessa originally started out as an ancient Greek port. After being conquered and retaken by a variety of different nations it was finally won by the Russians at the end of the 18th century. It was this final conquest by the Russians that would ultimately define Odessa's landscape, molding the buildings and layout to many other Russian cities across the country. Today Odessa is well-known for its thriving nightlife and beaches. Bars, stylish restaurants, discotheques, and countless cafes make up the historical center around Deribasovskaya Street. There is also a region known as Arcadia, which is a strip of clubs and restaurants found on the western side of the town along the sea coast.

If nightlife isn't what you're looking for then there's always the numerous museums and historical monuments to enjoy. With its rich history, Odessa has been host to some of the most important historical events to take place in Russia. Visitors can see the somber memorial to the Battleship Potemkin uprising, take a walk down the peaceful Tolstogo Street, enjoy a ballet at the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater, or see the beautiful Tolstoy and Vorontsov Palaces. For the really adventurous there is also the option of touring the endless catacombs that weave in and out of the city's landscape. One can also visit the famous Seventh-Kilometer Market, which is one of the biggest in all of Europe.

I am completing my final papers to graduate from University in June. I currently live in a dormatory on campus. I also work for a private landscape design company. I support myself through scholarship money and what I receive for my landscape projects.

After graduation I plan to find a job that is interesting and profitable. Of course, all of this lacks purpose if I have no one to share it with. That’s why I want to meet the one for me and share my life with him. Now that my studies will be completed, I can now focus my energy on building a relationship and a career.

What values are important to you?
Family! I think when we support and love each other, we are the power. I have a large family and many relatives; some of my happiest times are when we gather together and talk for hours. I prefer to spend my leisure time with family, whether it’s watching a movie, listening to music or just catching up.

I am very open to communication. I enjoy the chat feature because it gives both of us the opportunity to ask many questions and the answers are spontaneous. Chatting online gives you the chance to see each other's reaction, and their sense of humor. But I also like writing emails too, it gives both of us time to formulate our thoughts. I think exchanging thoughts and pieces of our cultures is very exciting.

I find wittiness and a sense of humor the most important qualities in a man because the one who can make others smile and laugh is optimistic and realistic.

The first letter a man sends to me, well, I want to get an overall description of him. I want to gain a general understanding of him and whether there is potential for further discussions. I would like to know about his country, his culture, and most important his family traditions.

In his photos, I look for a smiling face. I think you can read a lot about someone from a photo. I would like to see pictures that tell me something about his life, his interests and of course his life story. The photos help me to determine whether I am a fit into his world too.
