For over three hundred years Odessa has remained one of the most beautiful cities in all of the Ukraine. Its closeness to The Black Sea and similarity to many Mediterranean cities makes it an ideal spot for tourists to visit. Odessa originally started out as an ancient Greek port. After being conquered and retaken by a variety of different nations it was finally won by the Russians at the end of the 18th century. It was this final conquest by the Russians that would ultimately define Odessa's landscape, molding the buildings and layout to many other Russian cities across the country. Today Odessa is well-known for its thriving nightlife and beaches. Bars, stylish restaurants, discotheques, and countless cafes make up the historical center around Deribasovskaya Street. There is also a region known as Arcadia, which is a strip of clubs and restaurants found on the western side of the town along the sea coast.

If nightlife isn't what you're looking for then there's always the numerous museums and historical monuments to enjoy. With its rich history, Odessa has been host to some of the most important historical events to take place in Russia. Visitors can see the somber memorial to the Battleship Potemkin uprising, take a walk down the peaceful Tolstogo Street, enjoy a ballet at the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater, or see the beautiful Tolstoy and Vorontsov Palaces. For the really adventurous there is also the option of touring the endless catacombs that weave in and out of the city's landscape. One can also visit the famous Seventh-Kilometer Market, which is one of the biggest in all of Europe.

I recently moved to my first apartment that is all mine. It’s about fifteen minutes from my parents’ house, so it’s easy for me to be always in touch with them. But I don’t live totally by my own…okay, all cats out of bag: I have a cat, which needs my attention! I have a very close family. Since I`ve lived by my own, I hardly miss them.

I started my new employment in September of this year, as a teacher assistant at the university. My work is flexible, so I don’t have to be at work each day, as it depends on the university system. If I go to the agency from home, it takes me around an hour. A pity isn’t it! But if I'm at work, it’s much easier, as the university is in the same location the agency is.
Well. Since I live by my own, I do have lots of obligations: I take care of my apartment so it stays always clean, and care of my cat. Though he is easy: aside from sleeping and being fed he needs nothing else! I like to stay social on weekends too.

If you could wish one dream to come true, what would it be and why?
Since I was a child I have always dreamed to help homeless pets. I hope to make this a reality some day, because I truly love animals. Another dream that sounds too down-earth is that I want to buy the best coffee machine for myself, as I can’t live any day without coffee!

Is there anyone in history (past or present) you wish you could meet with just one day?
When I was a teenager I was infatuated with the band Dépêche Mode. I think at that time, if being asked this question, I would definitely respond to meet them!
But now, I realize that our history is rich with people who have such an impact in our world: physicians, artists, painters, writers, illusionists, visionaries. It’s a varied group of people who I would really like to meet just once and have a talk. I can`t concentrate on only one!

What makes you happy?
A sunny day, good music, a cup of hot milked coffee, a slice of good cheese, my parents, my friends, my cat, my looks, my mind, going skiing, the water, and adventures.
