It has been three centuries since Peter the Great constructed his magnificent city on the Gulf of Finland and today the city of St. Petersburg still stands as a monument to Russia's greatness. Full of palaces, museums, and hundreds of years of history, St. Petersburg continues to be a hotspot for both tourists and locals alike. Much like the city, the people of St. Petersburg are as colorful and friendly as you'll find anywhere else. They take great pride in their culture and are always inviting to those who wish to share these amazing sights.
St. Petersburg lies on the Gulf of Finland and is considered to have the second largest population in Russia. Along the banks of the river, visitors can walk along the scenic bridges and canals that give the city its trademark look and helped set its place as the "Venice of the North". St. Petersburg has a multitude of historic buildings within its borders including over eleven different exquisite palaces. The most famous of these buildings is the Hermitage, one of the world's largest and richest collections of Western European art. The Hermitage also borders the beautiful Winter Palace, the winter residence for the Russian Tsars that once housed Catherine the Great as its first Imperial Occupant.
Aside from amazing museums and monuments to historical figures, St. Petersburg also has a thriving music culture. The world-famous Mariinsky Theater, also known as the Kirov Theater in the USSR, is home to the Mariinsky Ballet company and opera. This theater has been home to many famous ballet dancers such as Natalia Makarova and Mikhail Baryshnikov. In today's popular culture St. Petersburg has been the inspiration for both movies and modern music. The amazing city skyline and the powerful images of Russian History that this city has to offer continues to draw tourists and visitors from all over the world.

A keen intelligence and instinctual reasoning describe this sign’s character. Basking in popularity and having the tact of a seasoned diplomat, the Snake is a master of seduction. Often proving an irresistible and generous lover, Snakes are nevertheless sometimes insecure, harboring jealous and possessive tendencies. Snakes are usually cautious and approach a situation analytically. At the same time, their intuitive reasoning generally opts for gut instincts in favor of logic. In general, Snakes are chivalrous and generous, but they must develop humility and confidence from within to truly gain the most from life. The most compatible match for a Snake is the Rooster or the Ox.
